13th Floor is an original alternative rock band comprised of John Stampolis (vocals, guitar), Donny Vazquez (Bass Guitar, Vocals) Mike Epstein (Lead Guitars,Vocals) , Aj Patrone (Drums,Percussion,Vocals)Though they are influenced by a wide range of artists their most common influences are Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Tool, Nirvana ,Soundgarden, & Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd,The Beatles ,U2,The Rolling Stones, Korn, Slayer , Rush ,Alice Cooper, Billy (freakin) Idol
Their debut EP, released in January 2009 , was recorded and produced at NYC’s Skyline Studios by Grammy winner Ron Allaire (Pantera, Keith Richards) and Jonathan Mover (Fuel, Everlast, Shakira). 13th Floor has played renowned NYC venues such as CBGBs, Highline Ballroom, The Gramercy Theater, Crash Mansion, Mercury Lounge as well as a five week residency at Arlenes Grocery in March 2009.
In both February and September 2009, 13th Floor was editors pick on Indie-Music.com where, as per Mike Cameo of Indies Top 10, they’ve been dominating the hard rock charts since. Mike Cameo has featured all five songs off their debut EP on his show Indies Top 10; “Illusions” in March 2009, “Moeshin” in April 2009, “Yesterday” in May 2009, “Lady of Disgrace” in July 2009 and “Breakin’ Down” in September 2009. “Breakin’ Down” has been played on Q104.3 by Jonathan Clarke on his show Out of the Box and in June 2009 was also chosen as part of a pilot program for sponsored songs by ReverbNation and the inaugural brand partner, Microsoft.
